Healing doesn’t happen all at once, nor does growth or revealing all of your light. It takes a village of helpers, a cocoon of companions, a multitude of choices and, quite likely, the length of a life. This doesn’t translate into a lifetime of sorrow or somber attitude. Rather, it creates dazzling depths, moments of magic, intriguing texture, spontaneously emerging emotion and joy that rides right alongside sorrow.
Loss of all sorts and the grief it delivers are a given we must come to accept, but there are so many choices we get to make about how we heal. My personal experience has been that there is no one magic elixir that makes us feel ourselves again, nor is there one way to grow or a destination we can pin on a map. It’s an experimental concoction that is unique to each of us, and trying, risking and staying curious may often be the best way forward.
In this section of the blog, Ways to Heal and Grow, I’ll share with you people, practices and experiences that have played a supportive part in my ongoing healing and growing—all leading to me opening to the light again and letting out out more and more of my Internal Luminosity.
